Instructions
Prepare the strawberries: Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. It’s very important that they are completely dry, as any moisture will cause the chocolate to seize.Leave the green stems on for easy handling.
Melt the chocolate:
Microwave Method: Chop the chocolate into smaller pieces and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
Double Boiler Method: Fill the bottom pot of a double boiler with water and bring to a simmer. Place the chocolate in the top bowl and set it over the simmering water. Stir frequently until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Dip the strawberries: Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
Add toppings (optional): If using toppings, sprinkle them onto the wet chocolate immediately after dipping.
Set the strawberries: Place the dipped strawberries onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Cool and set: Allow the chocolate to cool and harden completely at room temperature (about 30 minutes) or in the refrigerator (for faster setting).

If the chocolate starts to thicken, you can reheat it gently.
