Ingredients
Scale
1 cup chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate)
1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
Graham crackers, for dipping
Optional:
Melted butter (1 tablespoon)
Other dippers: Pretzels, fruit slices (strawberries, apples), cookies
Preheat oven (or prepare microwave): Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Alternatively, prepare your microwave on medium power.
Layer ingredients: In an oven-safe skillet (cast iron is ideal) or baking dish, spread the chocolate chips evenly across the bottom. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the chocolate chips. If desired, drizzle with melted butter.
Bake (or microwave):
Oven Method: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and the chocolate is melted. Watch closely to prevent burning.
Microwave Method: Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring gently between intervals, until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are puffed and softened. Be careful not to overheat.
Cool slightly and serve: Let the dip cool slightly before serving. It will thicken as it cools. Serve warm with graham crackers and other dippers.
Notes
You can use a variety of chocolate – milk, semi-sweet, dark, or even white chocolate.
For a richer flavor, use high-quality chocolate.
If you don’t have a skillet, any oven-safe dish will work.
Watch the dip closely while baking or microwaving to prevent burning.
Get creative with your dippers and toppings!
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated gently.
