No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

A classic no-bake treat combining the irresistible flavors of chocolate and peanut butter. These bars are quick, easy, and perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Crust:
    • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
    • 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
    • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

  • Topping:
    • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
    • Optional:
      • Crushed peanuts or sea salt for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter, and honey (or maple syrup). Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  • Press into pan: Press the mixture firmly into a lined square baking pan (8×8 or 9×9 inch). Use a flat spatula to create an even base.
  • Chill the crust: Place the pan in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to allow the crust to set slightly.
  • Melt the chocolate: In a heatproof bowl (or using a double boiler or microwave), melt the dark chocolate chips until smooth. If microwaving, do so in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted.
  • Add chocolate topping: Remove the crust from the refrigerator and pour the melted chocolate evenly over the base. Spread with a spatula.
  • Add garnish (optional): Sprinkle crushed peanuts or sea salt over the chocolate layer, if desired.
  • Chill to set: Return the pan to the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or until firm) to allow the chocolate to set completely.

  • Cut and serve: Once set, cut the bars into squares and serve.

Notes

  • You can use any type of peanut butter you prefer (smooth or crunchy, natural or regular).
  • For a richer flavor, use a high-quality dark chocolate.
  • If you don’t have graham crackers, you can use other crushed cookies or even rolled oats for the crust.
  • Be careful not to overheat the chocolate when melting it.
  • Get creative with your toppings! Other options include sprinkles, mini marshmallows, or a drizzle of white chocolate.
  • Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
