These Chicken Caesar Wraps are a quick, easy, and healthy meal option, perfect for lunch or a light dinner. They combine the classic flavors of a Caesar salad with the convenience of a wrap, making them ideal for busy weeknights or on-the-go meals.
4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat tortillas)
4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup croutons (optional)
4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
Instructions
Cook the Chicken (if using raw chicken): Grill, bake, or sauté the chicken breasts until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C). Let rest for a few minutes, then slice or shred. If using rotisserie chicken, shred or slice it.
Prepare the Lettuce: Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Chop into bite-sized pieces.
Assemble the Wraps: Lay out the tortillas on a clean surface. Spread a small amount of Caesar dressing on each tortilla.
Add Fillings: Place a portion of chicken, romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and croutons (if using) in the center of each tortilla. Add crumbled bacon, if desired.
Wrap: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
Serve: Cut the wraps in half diagonally, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Chicken: Rotisserie chicken is a great shortcut for this recipe. You can also use leftover grilled or baked chicken. For a different flavor, try using blackened or lemon-herb chicken.
Dressing: Use your favorite Caesar dressing, store-bought or homemade. For a lighter option, try a light Caesar dressing or a vinaigrette.
Cheese: Parmesan cheese is traditional for Caesar salad, but you can also use other cheeses, such as Asiago or Pecorino Romano.
Croutons: Croutons add a nice crunch to the wraps. You can use store-bought croutons or make your own.
Bacon: Cooked and crumbled bacon adds a smoky flavor. You can omit it if you prefer.
Vegetarian Option: Substitute grilled halloumi cheese, chickpeas, or tofu for the chicken for a vegetarian version.
Variations: Add other ingredients to your wraps, such as sliced avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onion, or bell peppers. A sprinkle of black pepper adds a little extra flavor.
Storage: If you need to make the wraps ahead of time, assemble them without the dressing. Store the dressing separately and add it just before serving to prevent the wraps from becoming soggy.
